The Project to Restore the
Przerosl Jewish Cemetery

Dedication

Although we don't yet know exactly when it will happen, we're planning to celebrate the restoration of the Przerosl Jewish Cemetery with a dedication ceremony at the cemetery.

Won't you join us?

At the time of this writing (April 2007), we're just starting to plan the activities surrounding the dedication of the cemetery, so it's much too early to provide a definite schedule or itinerary. Our early thoughts are that, in addition to Przerosl, we'd like to visit some of the other towns in the area that are likely to be of historical and genealogical interest to many of you, towns such as Grajewo, Sejny, Suwalki, Lomza, and perhaps Bialystok and Tykocin, among others. Since it's likely that we'll be gathering in Warsaw, we'll probably arrange tours of Jewish sites in Warsaw and perhaps Treblinka as well. And for those of you who have a little extra time available, we may also be able to arrange visits to Krakow and Auschwitz, two moving and significant sites that reflect very different aspects of the Jewish experience in Poland.

If this sounds like something that might be of interest to you, please email me at Hank@Mishkoff.com to let me know. Please note that I'm not asking for a commitment at this time! But I hope to be able to start making definite plans soon, and I need your help in trying to estimate the number of people who might want to participate. I will have to ask for a firm commitment at some point, but for now please let me know if there's a chance that you might be interested.

And please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions. I'm looking forward to hearing from you – and I'm hoping that you'll join us to help dedicate the newly restored Przerosl Jewish Cemetery!
